Julien Lavigne
Independent Photographiste Artist
Julien has travelled the world to hone his skills and feed his passion for images.
His philosophy: to transform inspirations and influences into infinite new possibilities in expressions of creativity.
Taking Art Direction behind the lens to new directions.
Julien is currently based in Paris.
"An artwork can be both the intimate, personal expression of its creator, or the result of a pre-established conceptual logic.
In the case of Julien Lavigne it is simultaneously born from spontaneity and the will to express a precise idea.
This duality renders Julien's work quite unusual, as he can capture a given moment while working from a concept. In his every series a main idea will surface.
It can affirm itself (Bhavana), be unveiled in the title (Lost Lands, Persona), emerge from a chromatic range (Stills) or refer to the artist himself (Self Portraits). From a strong, autodidact personality comes a multiplicity of genres, a richness of themes and a flair for creation through collage and graphic invention. A photographic universe, where elegance, charismatic characters, magic, music, nature, the self and death reign."
